Summer...yummy

Summer is a yummy time. The little wild bushes are producing the most tasty of snacks.
We are in a race with the wildlife for our share!
Each trip across the bridge starts a chorus of alarm, flapping up to the nearby pines; birds heavy with bellies full of berries.
Last night's walk included our first monarch caterpillar sightings on the milkweed. I think of Nina Towne breathing in the sweet smell of the milkweed in bloom. I'll try to get some photos of the Canada Lily that is in bloom...spectacular. Summer....yummy! ~Rachel

Great bluberries & raspberries!! Neat photo!
We saw the Canada Lily while out trail riding last weekend! What a beautiful flower. Be sure to take photos of the Cardinal flower when they come in bloom. I had never seen them until we visited you last August.

Hmmmm...those look really good! This reminds me to check out in our back woods to see if the blackberries are ready yet. There were a lot of "almosts" a few days ago!

All the Roberts sibs, except Micah, were together this weekend and we were commenting on how much we're enjoying your blog!

Hope you're well. No baby yet here for us!
